What is ELO?
ELO is a rating system originally designed for chess that calculates relative skill levels. When you play a match:
- Beat someone rated higher than you — big rating boost
- Beat someone rated lower — small boost
- Lose to someone higher — small drop
- Lose to someone lower — big drop
This means your rating reflects your true skill level over time, not just your win count.
