Welcome to Volley. By accessing or using our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Volley is a multi-sport scoring and social platform that allows users to:

  • Track match scores across 30+ sports
  • Connect with other players and form groups
  • View statistics and ELO ratings
  • Organize and participate in tournaments

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Submit false or misleading match results
  • Attempt to manipulate ELO ratings or statistics
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service
  • Collect user information without consent

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant Volley a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

You are solely responsible for content you submit and represent that you have all necessary rights to share such content.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Volley offers both free and paid subscription tiers. For paid subscriptions:

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account
  • Refunds are handled according to the policies of your app store

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Volley Club and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Volley name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Volley Club.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Volley. We assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. VOLLEY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOLLEY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Volley and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in San Francisco, California.
